History of the ACD

The Amsterdamse Carrière Dagen (ACD) were first organized in 1995 by student association Sefa (UvA). Its main goal was to get as many Amsterdam students as possible to get in touch with the labor market.

In 2002 participating companies wanted to get in touch with more students. They wished to include the students of the VU University Amsterdam (VU) into the event to get an even broader audience. Thanks to that request the economic student association of the VU, Aureus, became involved with the organization of the ACD. An immediate result of this development was more leading and well-known companies decided to join the ACD. This resulted in a remarkable increase of student participants.

In recent years the ACD-event has grown significantly and we are proud to say that at this moment we surely are one of the biggest career events in the Randstad. With over 1.600 student participants, from which are 75% university master students, and more than 60 participating companies in recent years, the ACD is proven to be a successful event. In 2014 the ACD will experience its 19th edition, upheld to standards of optimal professionalism and quality.
