1. General
1.1. Changes / changes in the
program are reserved
The ACD committee 2012 at all times retains the right to make changes to the programme. The ACD committee 2012 will do everything within her power to ensure the offered components will continue. If unhoped-for changes do occur, the ACD committee 2012 cannot be held responsible. They will inform the student as soon as possible.
1.2. Deadlines for registration
Registration for components with CV selection is possible up to Wednesday 8 February 18:00. Registration for components without CV selection is possible up to Wednesday 15 February 18:00. To find out which components contain CV selection, visit the profile book and on www.acd.nu.
2. The event
2.1. Components ACD
During the ACD, the following components will be offered:
- Company presentations
- Case sessions (with or without CV selection);
- Individual conversations (with CV selection);
- Speed dating session;
- Breakfast/lunch/dinner (with CV selection);
- Workshops;
- CV checks;
- Central lunches/drinks
Although the multiple components are planned to take place at a fixed period of time, it is possible that a component may take longer. The ACD committee 2012 tries to prevent this as much as possible, but cannot be held responsible for this. If it does happen that you risk missing a next component due to a possible extension of the previous one, you are allowed to leave the component you are following before its ending time.
Some components do not take place at the World Trade Center (location ACD); they take place at a location that will be further disclosed by the company of hosting the component. The ACD committee 2012 is not responsible for these components and at any location outside the World Trade Center, any communication lies within the company in question. For more information, you are free to contact us through info@acd.nu or call +31 (0)20 525 4024. You can also visit www.acd.nu.
2.2. CV selection
As mentioned before, some components contain CV selection. By way of CV selection, the company can choose students who suit best with its preferred job profile and wishes.
1. The ACD handles your personal details very confidentially and will, apart from making your CV anonymous, not apply any changes. In the process of making your CV anonymous, we will remove your contact details (i.e. telephone number, address, city and e-mail).
2. The ACD is obliged to present the student’s CV to the companies that the student had selected.
3. The ACD committee 2012 can in no way influence the selection of students. Selecting of students will be executed exclusively by the participating companies.
4. The ACD committee 2012 is in no way responsible when a student is not selected by a company that the student had expressed interest in.
5. When there are conflicts with the timetable of the student, a CV selection component will be more consequential than a component without CV selection. In addition, individual conversations, breakfast, lunch or dinner are more consequential than a case with CV selection. Accordingly, the ACD committee 2012 keeps the right to adjust any overlaps in the student’s timetable. Where possible, these possible adjustments are made in consultation with the student. However, the student’s final timetable and the activities he/she is selected for are indisputable by the ACD committee 2012.
2.3. Personal program
After the registration for components with CV selection, the ACD committee 2012 will send your CV to the company/companies in question. Not later than Tuesday 14 February 18:00, you will receive an e-mail detailing whether or not you had been selected for the CV component you registered yourself for. After that, you will have time to register for components without CV selection up to 15 February 18:00.
Subsequently, you can expect to receive your personal programme by e-mail on Thursday 16 or Friday 17 February. This programme will precisely show you the components you registered for and will also show the components for which you were selected. This does mean that you are expected to be present during these components. If you are not present, you risk a fine. For information about the fine regulations, see the header: Signing out / no-show.
