1. What is the ACD?
The Amsterdamse Carrière Dagen (ACD) is the largest career event in Amsterdam. The ACD is organized by students, for students and its aim is to guide students at the beginning of their careers. Through various business presentations, case studies, training, speed dating, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and networking drinks, you can find out more about a wide range of multinationals and other companies!
2. How do I sign up for the Amsterdamse Carrière Dagen?
Go to menu students and click on register or click on the button register on the homepage. After you are registered on the website, you can sign up for the event the Amsterdamse Carrière Dagen. You will receive a confirmation of your registration through e-mail. Now you can log in through the inlog menu on the website.
Did you already participate at the ACD last year? With the same username and password you can log in on the website! You do not have to sign up again!
3. Where do I find a route description?
Click on the location button within the menu. Here you can click on ‘important information and you will be able to find a route description.’ In addition, go to www.9292.nl or www.ns.nl for the fastest route to the World Trade Center Amsterdam.
4. Will I be able to go to the event without signing up for activities?
In order to sign up for activities, you need to log in on the website. Through your personal page you can make your own program.
For all activities registration is mandatory. A distinction is made between the activities with and without cv selection. For the business presentations, speeddating and workshops there is no cv selection. Cv selection will be necessary for various cases and all of the individual conversations, breakfast, lunch and dinners.
5. Where do I find the overview with my personal program?
You can find an overview of you personal program on your personal homepage. Therefore, you need to log in through the website.
6. Until when can I change my personal program?
Until February 17th at 18:00, you will be able to unsubscribe yourself for an item without cv selection. You can only unsubscribe yourself via e-mail (info@acd.nu). If you choose to unsubscribe yourself after the deadline of February 17th at 18.00, you will be charged with €7.50 per program-item. When not showing up for a part, there will be a fine of €12.50 per program-item.
7. When are the deadlines for registration?
Deadline-subscription program-items with CV selection Wednesday February 8 18:00
Deadline-subscription other program-items Wednesday February 15 18:00.
8. How do I deregister for activities?
You can deregister for your activities through your personal page.
9. Can I register for multiple cases?
Yes, you can register for multiple cases in all cases with cv selection. For the cases without cv selection ,you cannot register for multiple cases at once, when the cases are at the same time.
10. Do I need to bring my resumé to the Amsterdamse Carrière Dagen?
Absolutely! This way you can leave your resume with the companies that are relevant for you.
In addition, during the Amsterdamse Carrière Dagen you will get the opportunity to have your resumé checked for free by professionals. This way, you will be fully prepared for your upcoming interviews and assessments.
11. Is participation in the event for free?
Yes, this is a free event!
Attention: The ACD has a no-show policy. Participation and signing up for activities is free. However, up to Friday 17 February 18:00, you are allowed to sign out for the registered activities at the ACD at no cost. If you sign out after the deadline, you will receive a fine of 7,50 euros per program-item. This fine will be automatically debited. Signing out of a component is only possible through the website (www.acd.nu). Signing out is not possible through e-mail or telephone: such requests will not be considered.
12. What is the dress code?
The dress code is Tenue de Ville.
